We hired Pet Jet to bring our kitten from Virginia to NC. - Approximately a 5 hour drive. We expected we would pay $500 if he was flown. We paid a $250 deposit to have our tiny kitten flown. We got a call from the nanny who said he was going to drive and was leaving a day early. Not an easy change for us but we juggled a dozen variables at a significant financial cost to us to meet him.

He arrived at the designated time and place (which was an hour from our house) and was very good at keeping us up as to how he was doing all along the way. The kitten slept every minute of the trip.

When he arrived he expected us to pay an additional $500 in cash on top of the deposit. We were prepared to pay him the additional $250 even though the kitten didn't fly but not an extra $500. We tried to give the driver $400 but he said he was told $500.

To say they won't charge more than the quote is just not true. We met him in a dark parking lot next to a gas station at 10pm at night and no one at Pet Jet had responded all afternoon to my texts. Ultimately we paid for the drivers trip from Raleigh to Virginia to North Carolina back to Raleigh. He said it was over 10 hours. So we paid $70 an hour... Can't blame the driver, he was just as confused as we were and was told to get $500.

In all honesty it's just the principle not the money. The response I got from the owner was ugly and insulting. Not a way to run a company.

****** Since I posted this I heard from the owner. She was angry and threatened to report me to Google.

All she had to say was there was some miscommunication resulting in the mixup and I would have amended my post and rating. I never asked her for the $250, just an acknowledgment she quoted me $500 and that we paid $750.
Response from the owner:A quote is an estimate. We gave you the final price before you accepted the delivery. Total $750. We never changed that. The nanny even drove to your house versus the airport to make your delivery happen, and did not charge additional. We are honestly surprised you would write a one star review 🤯

If you are considering booking this pet nanny service… don’t. It is not worth the emotional and mental distress.

My boyfriend and I were originally supposed to get our Bengal delivered from Reno to LAX on Wednesday 5/27. I had taken time off work that day and the following days after to be there and bond with our new kitten.

It was our kitten as well as another customer’s kitten traveling together. The pet nanny, Jarelle, reached out with less than 24 hours notice and told us he could not get a standby flight and that the next available flight was Saturday 5/30. He assured us there were plenty of flights available and that Saturday would be the latest. He added me, our breeder, the other customer, and his boss April (who appeared to be the owner) into a group chat to coordinate updates. In that group chat, April advised us to communicate directly with her regarding the delivery.

Being proactive and flexible, I texted April the next morning and asked if there was any way to get a different flight or reroute to Las Vegas since there were many flights from Reno to Vegas. We were willing to drive to Vegas to pick up our kitten since we already had time off. She did not respond.

I then emailed Pet Jet Pals to explain the situation. When I finally received a response, it was from April, who did not identify herself at first, gave very brief responses, and simply said no.

On Saturday, we confirmed the night before with the nanny that the flight was set. However, when the time came, he did not show up or communicate. Our breeder waited at the airport for over an hour and a half with no updates from either the nanny or the owner. April did not respond until 11:40, when we were already supposed to be at the airport at 11:30.

Overall, this was a very unprofessional experience. I would not recommend this service, as there were significant communication issues and a lack of reliability when coordinating pet transportation.
I typically don’t write reviews, but this company was a complete nightmare when it came to delivering my Bengal kitten from Reno, NV to LAX.

At first, we were told there was a standby flight for Wednesday, but the pet nanny claimed it filled up the night before. That was understandable, and we were okay with waiting. He then assured us he would be on the next available flight, scheduled for Saturday at 9:00 AM, and that he would meet us at LAX Terminal 1 at 11:30 AM.

On Friday night, I texted him to confirm that everything was still on schedule, and he replied saying yes.

Saturday morning came, and he was supposed to meet the breeder in Reno at 9:00 AM. He was a complete no-show and ignored all of our calls and messages. We had the breeder waiting there until 9:50 AM with absolutely no communication or explanation.

What made this even worse was the complete lack of communication from the company itself. Amber, the person who arranged everything, didn’t even bother reaching out until 11:45 AM. This entire situation was extremely unprofessional, disrespectful, and a complete waste of everyone’s time.

We truly believe this was handled negligently, if not intentionally. If you are considering using this company, avoid it at all costs. The flight nanny’s name is Jarelle, and based on our experience, I would strongly advise others not to trust this service.

I had a wonderful experience with Pet Jet pals! I have never had a dog flown in to me and it was an extremely long flight! My dog nanny Cameron was AMAZING!! Her warmth and caring made me so happy my puppy was with her during this long journey!! The excellent communication at every point was timely and comforting know things were going as anticipated! I would highly recommend their services to anyone!
